Publication Ethics
The International Journal of Global Humanities and Management Insights (IJGHMI) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all necessary measures against publication malpractice. All parties involved in the publishing process — authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher — are expected to adhere to ethical behaviours and best practices in scholarly publishing. Our policies are guided by internationally recognized standards for academic integrity and ethical publishing.
Responsibilities of Authors
Originality and Plagiarism
- Submitted work is original and has not been published previously.
- Proper acknowledgment of the work of others is mandatory.
- Plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism, is strictly prohibited.
Multiple or Concurrent Submissions
- Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time.
- Submitting the same research concurrently to multiple journals is considered unethical.
Authorship of the Paper
- Only individuals who have made a significant contribution to the research should be listed as authors.
- All co-authors must approve the final manuscript and agree to its submission.
- The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring all co-authors are properly included.
Data Access and Retention
Authors may be requested to provide raw data related to their manuscript for editorial review. Data should be retained for a reasonable period after publication.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
- Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their work.
- All sources of financial support must be clearly stated.
Errors in Published Works
If authors discover significant errors in their published work, they must promptly notify the editor and cooperate in correcting or retracting the paper.
Responsibilities of Editors
Editors of IJGHMI are responsible for ensuring publication decisions are based on academic merit and relevance to the journal's scope.
Fair Play
Manuscripts are evaluated solely on intellectual content without discrimination based on gender, race, nationality, religion, or political beliefs.
Confidentiality
Editors must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, or publisher.
Conflicts of Interest
Editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where conflicts of interest exist due to competitive, collaborative, or personal relationships.
Publication Decisions
- All manuscripts undergo a fair and unbiased peer review process.
- Decisions are based on reviewer feedback, originality, clarity, and relevance.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Peer reviewers play a vital role in maintaining the quality and integrity of publications.
Confidentiality
- Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential.
- Reviewers must not share or discuss the manuscript without editorial permission.
Objectivity
- Reviews should be conducted objectively with clear, evidence-based arguments.
- Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate.
Acknowledgment of Sources
- Reviewers should identify relevant published work not cited by authors.
- Any similarity with other works should be reported to the editor.
Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers should not review manuscripts where they have conflicts of interest.

Suspected cases of misconduct, plagiarism, data fabrication, citation manipulation, or unethical research practices will be investigated. Actions may include corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern if necessary.
Handling Ethical Misconduct
When ethical issues are identified:
- An initial assessment is conducted by the journal.
- Authors are given the opportunity to respond.
- If misconduct is confirmed, actions may include:
- Manuscript rejection
- Retraction of published articles
- Notification to authors' institutions if required
Research Involving Humans or Animals
For studies involving human participants or animals:
- Authors must confirm compliance with institutional and national ethical guidelines.
- Approval from an appropriate ethics committee must be stated in the manuscript where applicable.
